The interior offers a generous open compartment, ideal for sewing tools, threads and notions, and is equally suitable for use as a jewellery or desk box. The restrained design, visible grain and honest construction are characteristic of Liberty’s Arts & Crafts output. The oak has developed a rich, warm patina consistent with age, making this both a practical and highly decorative piece. ConditionGood antique condition. Structurally sound with a smoothly operating hinged lid and drawers. The oak surface shows age-related wear, marks and tonal variation. The interior base has historic staining consistent with use. Lock present but key is absent. All wear is in keeping with an Arts & Crafts sewing box of this period.
