Larger filter housings run higher flow rates, putting more stress on fittings over time. When threads strip or the port cracks, flow drops and bypass leaks develop. This replacement restores full seal and flow capacity without replacing the entire filter. This replacement restores full seal and flow capacity without replacing the entire filter. Thread Size 2\" Thread Type NPT threaded Compatible With Pondmaster pressurized filters, 5.5\" to 8\" diameter Material UV-stable thermoplastic Installation Depressurize and drain the filter before removing the old fitting. Apply thread sealant tape to the new fitting's threads. Hand-thread into the filter port, then tighten with a strap wrench, do not use pipe wrenches on plastic fittings. Pressurize and check for leaks before returning to service. Upgrading from 1.5\" to 2\" fittings reduces head loss on high-flow filter installations. Compatible with Pondmaster pressurized filters from 5.5\" to 8\" diameter. Verify filter port size before ordering.","image_url":"https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1076/9324/4755/files/pondmaster-replacement-parts-default-title-pondmaster-2-inlet-outlet-fitting-for-5-5-to-8-43287416701247.webp?v=1790196754","href":"/product/pondmaster-2-inlet-outlet-fitting-for-55-to-8.html","buy_url":"https://xyjpsn-3p.myshopify.com/products/pondmaster-2-inlet-outlet-fitting-for-55-to-8","buy_url_source":"shops.shop_domain + product.handle","seller_name":"xyjpsn-3p.myshopify.com","seller_url":"https://xyjpsn-3p.myshopify.com/","return_policy_url":"https://xyjpsn-3p.myshopify.com/policies/refund-policy","media":[{"url":"https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1076/9324/4755/files/pondmaster-replacement-parts-default-title-pondmaster-2-inlet-outlet-fitting-for-5-5-to-8-43287416701247.webp?v=1790196754","alt":null,"position":0}],"related":[{"handle":"aquascape-smart-control-receiver-1","title":"AQUASCAPE SMART CONTROL RECEIVER","category":"Replacement Parts","price":"$138.31","image_url":"https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1076/9324/4755/files/aquascape_smart_controller_reciever_45038.jpg?v=1790199478","sku":"AQP-45038**DISC**","href":"/product/aquascape-smart-control-receiver-1.html"},{"handle":"oase-1-2-hp-floating-fountain-replacement-pump","title":"Oase 1/2 HP Floating Fountain - Replacement Pump","category":"Replacement Parts","price":"$285.59","image_url":"https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1076/9324/4755/files/oase_replacement_pump_with_75_ft_cord_for_.5_hp_floating_fountain_with_lights.jpg?v=1790198499","sku":"OASP-49522","href":"/product/oase-1-2-hp-floating-fountain-replacement-pump.html"},{"handle":"oase-24w-uvc-replacement-bulb-for-filtoclear-4000-g2-filtoclear-3400-g3-and-bitron-c-24","title":"OASE 24W UVC Replacement Bulb for Filtoclear 4000 (G2), Filtoclear 3400 (G3), and Bitron C 24","category":"Replacement Parts","price":"$60.89","image_url":"https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1076/9324/4755/files/bitron_36w_uv_bulb_1_1.jpg?v=1790199589","sku":"OASP-41011","href":"/product/oase-24w-uvc-replacement-bulb-for-filtoclear-4000-g2-filtoclear-3400-g3-and-bitron-c-24.html"},{"handle":"oase-18w-uvc-replacement-bulb-for-vitronic-18-and-filtoclear-3000","title":"OASE 18W UVC Replacement Bulb for Vitronic 18 and FiltoClear 3000","category":"Replacement Parts","price":"$55.99","image_url":"https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1076/9324/4755/files/bitron_36w_uv_bulb_1.jpg?v=1790199593","sku":"OASP-40965","href":"/product/oase-18w-uvc-replacement-bulb-for-vitronic-18-and-filtoclear-3000.html"}]}}
