The box contains period dip pens, interchangeable metal nibs and a box of William Mitchell “Pedigree” round hand pens, Birmingham & London, included as found. The mix of worn wooden pen holders and metal nibs adds strong visual texture and narrative value. Externally, the box has a simple, unpretentious form with inset brass cartouche to the lid and original lock escutcheon (key absent). Condition Good antique condition with pronounced wear consistent with prolonged practical use. Interior shows extensive ink staining, surface wear and patina.
