Antique Carved Wooden BUTTER Dish Blue Willow Insert Kitchenalia A charming vintage carved treen butter dish featuring a removable blue and white English ceramic insert. The circular surround is beautifully carved with the word "BUTTER" in bold lettering, framed by hand-carved leaves and floral motifs. The centre holds a blue and white transferware dish decorated in the ever-popular Willow pattern style, creating an attractive contrast against the rich oak frame. Pieces such as this were traditionally used for serving butter at the table and are now highly sought after as decorative country kitchen and pantry pieces. Whether displayed on a dresser, shelf or kitchen wall, it makes a wonderful addition to a collection of vintage kitchenalia. The ceramic insert is marked "Made in England" to the reverse and can be removed from the wooden surround.
