Antique Puritan Soap Enamel Advertising Sign – “Pure as the Breeze” A striking original enamel advertising sign for Puritan Soap, featuring the wonderful period slogan “Pure as the Breeze”. The sign has a particularly attractive pictorial design, with a woman in period dress holding a basket containing a packet of Puritan Soap, set against a bold yellow ground with blue and black lettering. This is the larger 61 cm x 91.5 cm format and has excellent decorative impact. Despite the obvious age-related wear, the main image, lettering and colours remain strong and highly presentable. A fantastic piece of early 20th-century advertising, ideal for a kitchen, utility room, bathroom, shop display, collection or industrial interior. ConditionOriginal antique condition with age-related wear. There is enamel loss around the edges and corners, together with several small holes/losses and scattered chips to the face. Despite this, the central pictorial image and the majority of the lettering remain clear and vibrant, and the sign still displays extremely well. The sign has not been restored or repainted and retains its original aged surface and character. Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.
