Description (from PDP, plain text)
Instantly Neutralise Toxic Ammonia to Protect Your Fish Aquascape Ammonia Neutralizer Professional Grade (1 gal / 3.78 L) is a concentrated chemical dechlorinator and ammonia detoxifier for koi ponds, water gardens, and aquatic features. It instantly converts toxic free ammonia and chloramine into a non-toxic form that the biological filter can safely process, protecting fish from ammonia poisoning during water changes, filter re-starts, and seasonal pond start-ups. Fast-Acting Protection During Critical Pond Events Free ammonia becomes acutely toxic to fish at concentrations above 0.02 mg/L, causing gill damage, lethargy, and mortality. This professional-grade formula acts within seconds of contact with the water, binding ammonia molecules faster than biological filtration alone. The 1-gallon professional container provides a cost-effective supply for repeated treatments, large-volume ponds, and service professionals maintaining multiple water features. Specification Value Volume 3.78 L (1 gal) Grade Professional concentrate Function Ammonia detoxifier, chlorine and chloramine neutraliser Safe For Koi, goldfish, aquatic plants, wildlife Action Time Immediate on contact How to Use Shake well before use. For emergency ammonia treatment, dose according to the label rate for your pond volume and apply directly to a high-flow area such as the waterfall or skimmer inlet to distribute quickly. For dechlorination during water changes, add the appropriate dose to the fresh water before or as it enters the pond. Retest ammonia levels after one hour; if levels remain elevated, apply a second dose and evaluate the biological filter load. Do not overdose, as excess ammonia neutraliser can temporarily strip oxygen from the water column. Ideal for koi ponds experiencing ammonia spikes after water changes, new pond start-ups with immature biological filtration, and any high-stocking-density pond where rapid ammonia detoxification is required.
