Description (from PDP, plain text)
Replacement Debris Basket for the Signature Series 1000 Pond Skimmer The Aquascape Signature Series 1000 Pond Skimmer Debris Basket (without handle) is the factory-replacement mesh basket that catches floating leaves, organic debris, and surface material before it reaches the pump inside the Signature Series 1000 skimmer. When the basket mesh tears, warps, or cracks, debris passes through to the pump, increasing filter mat fouling and the risk of pump impeller clogging. The First Line of Debris Defence in Your Skimmer The debris basket sits in the water chamber of the Signature Series 1000 behind the weir door, catching solids that enter with the surface flow. Without an intact basket, larger debris reaches the filter mat and pump directly, shortening the cleaning interval for the filter mat and increasing the frequency of pump screen clearing. This basket is sold without a handle; order the debris basket handle separately if a new handle is also required. Specification Value Compatible With Aquascape Signature Series 1000 pond skimmer Material UV-stable mesh and thermoplastic frame Handle Included No (handle sold separately) Replacement Trigger Torn mesh, warped frame, debris bypassing basket How to Use Open the skimmer lid and remove the existing damaged basket from the water chamber. Place the new basket in the skimmer basket seat with the open face toward the weir door so surface flow passes through it before reaching the filter mat. Attach a handle to the basket rim if needed before reinstalling. Empty and inspect the basket weekly during normal operation. Ideal for Signature Series 1000 skimmer owners replacing a torn or warped debris basket, and as a spare basket to have on hand for immediate swap during heavy leaf fall season.
