The ASL09 85 x 30mm Tredsafe Stair Nosing is a heavy-duty aluminium profile designed to provide superior step-edge protection, enhanced visibility, and long-term durability in high-traffic commercial and domestic environments. Featuring a wide 85mm tread, double non-slip PVC inserts, and a slim 30mm riser, this profile is ideal for stairs that require extra grip and visual contrast without compromising on design. As part of the Aluminator® range, the ASL09 includes an integrated photoluminescent glow-in-the-dark strip that charges under daylight or artificial light and automatically activates in darkness or during power outages. This feature helps evacuees clearly identify stair edges and risers, aiding safe evacuation without the need for wiring or electrical connections. It requires no special maintenance and performs reliably under normal indoor or outdoor lighting conditions. Built for external and internal use, the ASL09 is suitable for installation on a variety of substrates including concrete, timber, tile, vinyl, steel, and checker plate. A wide range of insert colours is available to improve visual contrast or complement surrounding finishes. Supplied pre-drilled through the insert, with colour-matched pips to conceal fixings. Undrilled and channel-only configurations with separately supplied inserts are available on request. Fixings not included.
