Employing an ancient fabrication process, artisans hand hammer the metal bars to reveal an alive, imperfect and organic texture, a counterpoint to the frame's slender, tapered silhouette. DETAILS Frame handcrafted of kiln-dried solid hardwood Reinforced joinery with corner blocking and mortise-and-tenon construction Sinuous spring suspension Curved, X-shaped base reinforced with a horizontal stretcher bar and hammered by hand This item is artisan crafted with meticulous care. Given its handmade and hand-finished nature, variations in the metal work are to be expected and celebrated. Each item is unique and no two are exactly alike.
