AOC Chateauneuf du PapeFrance - Rhone Grapes:80% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, 10% Cinault, Grown on soils typical of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with pebbles and large clay-limestone blocks, and sandy soil. These profiles, with a northeast exposure, shape the wines and highlight the fruit in the old Grenache vines. Bright red color with purple highlights. The nose is marked by nutmeg, kirsch, bay leaf, paprika, brioche, cocoa, licorice, and red berries. Best served at 16°C. On the palate: flavours of fine, long, red fruit (raspberry, cherry, wild strawberry), liquorice, ginger and salt, featuring great drinkability, smooth tannins and an opulent, spicy (pepper) balanced finish. The vintage benefited from ideal growing conditions with balanced rainfall. Aging potential: 10 years. FOOD AND WINE PAIRINGS The wine's great complexity allows it to be paired with all kinds of Vegan stews, and particularly with traditional dishes in sauce, based on Veg. Three friends, Daniel, Thierry and Claude with almost sixty years of combined experience in the wine trade, get together with one aim :To produce terrific, genuine and natural Rhône wine. THE PHILOSOPHY ... In 2011, LE PLAN DES MOINES selected their first vineyard of Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages, using the name of this vineyard located between Remoulins and Avignon. They harvest and vinify their grapes the most natural way possible, respecting the environment and the expressions of the terroirs. All the wines from LE PLAN DES MOINES are vinified and bottled at the property to avoid transporting grapes in bulk.
