Description (from PDP, plain text)
Club: Liverpool Year: 2007/08 Brand: Adidas Jersey Type: Third Size: L Player Name: Fernando Torres 9 Chest length (cm): 56 Shirt length (cm): 75 History: When 'El Niño' signed for Liverpool, the Merseyside faithful dubbed his signing as fated to be as Fernando Torres was wearing the famous motto most associated with the reds, "You'll Never Walk Alone" on his armband while he was captained of his boyhood club, Atletico Madrid. His debut season at the club brought goals as Torres scored 24 league goals in 33 league appearances, making the 2007/08 a personal best scoring season in his career. The following season saw the club mount a serious title challenge against old rivals, Manchester United but fell short by 4 points. The shock of his transfer to Chelsea on the deadline day of January 2011 transfer window may have left a bitter taste for the Liverpool supporters, but the impact he brought to Liverpool and the subsequent British transfer record signing makes him one of the best Spaniard to grace English football.
