Description (from PDP, plain text)
Luck & Flaw Spitting Image Margaret Thatcher Elephant Teapot Crackle GlazeA highly collectable Luck & Flaw “Spitting Image” ceramic teapot depicting Margaret Thatcher, produced in the satirical caricature style synonymous with the iconic 1980s TV show. This sculptural teapot captures Thatcher’s exaggerated facial features, sweeping hair and characteristic expression, with the spout formed as an elephant’s trunk. Finished in a fine white crackle-glaze, it is both a political satire piece and a striking display object. These Luck & Flaw ceramics were made in limited quantities and are increasingly hard to find, especially in good condition. A fantastic addition for collectors of political memorabilia, Spitting Image fans, teapot collectors, and lovers of British satire. Condition This teapot is in very good condition with a light stable crackle glaze throughout, which is characteristic of these pieces. There are no chips, cracks or repairs, and the interior is clean. The lid fits securely and sits well. Overall it presents beautifully, with only light age-related glaze crazing visible on close inspection. Era1980s–1990s (late 20th century)Designed by Luck & Flaw, the creative partnership behind Spitting Image. DimensionsCirca H: 21cm x L: 29cm (handle to spout) x W: 16cm
