Description (from PDP, plain text)
Lutron Caséta Original Smart Dimmer 3-Way Kit — White, with 3-Button Pico Remote The Lutron P-DIM-3WAY-WH is a Caséta Smart Dimmer Switch 3-Way Kit designed to add smart lighting control to a room with two-point control — such as the top and bottom of a staircase. The white-colored kit allows for dimming from one location while using a wireless remote to control the same lights from a second location, without needing to pull new wire or cut holes. What's in the Kit Caséta Smart Dimmer Switch (PD-6WCL-WH): Hardwired in-wall dimmer that replaces one of the existing 3-way switches. Supports up to 150W of dimmable LED/CFL bulbs or 600W of incandescent/halogen bulbs. 3-Button Pico Remote (PJ2-3BRL-WH): Wireless remote that mounts directly to the wall at the second location, replacing the mechanical switch without needing to connect any wires. Pico Wallplate Bracket: Mounts the Pico remote on any wall surface — no cutting holes or running wires required. Claro 1-Gang Wallplate: Gives the dimmer a clean, finished look. Key Features 3-Way Solution: Uses a Pico remote mounted on the wall to replace one of the existing 3-way switches — no traveler wire needed between locations. No Neutral Wire Required: Compatible with older homes as the dimmer does not require a neutral wire. Wide Load Compatibility: Works with up to 150W of dimmable LED/CFL bulbs or 600W of incandescent/halogen bulbs. Works with Pico Remote Control: Control the dimmer from a second location wirelessly using the included 3-Button Pico remote. Works with Caséta Motion Sensor: Compatible with Caséta motion sensors for automated lighting control. Clear Connect RF Technology: Lutron's patented Clear Connect RF Technology works through walls and floors for reliable wireless communication. Front Accessible Service Switch (FASS): Includes FASS for safe lamp replacement without turning off the circuit breaker. Works with Radio Powr Savr Sensors: Compatible with Lutron Radio Powr Savr occupancy and vacancy sensors in standalone applications (sensors do not work with Smart Bridge or Smart Bridge PRO). Smart Control: Enables voice control and smartphone app control when connected to the Lutron Smart Hub (L-BDG2-WH, sold separately). Operating Temperature: Rated for 32°F to 104°F (0°C to 40°C). Construction & Interface The P-DIM-3WAY-WH features a white glossy finish designed for indoor lighting control applications. The Caséta dimmer replaces one existing 3-way switch in the wall box, while the Pico remote mounts at the second location using the included bracket — no wiring required at the remote location. Wiring & Installation Dimmer Switch: Replaces one of the existing 3-way switches in the wall box. No neutral wire required. Pico Remote: Mounts directly to the wall using the included bracket at the second location, replacing the mechanical switch without needing to connect any wires. Setup: The switch can be paired directly with the remote or with the Lutron Smart Hub for app-based control.
