Inherently resistant to UV radiation, PALGLAS is completely immune to its harmful effects, meaning it looks good, and performs well year after year. This, with PALSUNs high clarity appearance, make it a very effective canopy glazing choice. But solid polycarbonate sheets have the upper hand in terms of strength, and fire safety. Acrylic burns with difficulty, generally requiring a continuous flame, and will tend to extinguish itself without flashover fire conditions. However, if high impact strength and fire safety is important for your application, it may be worth considering the stronger, fire rated PALSUN UV2 solid polycarbonate sheets.
