Rare Small Original Spratt’s Meat-Fibrine Dog Foods Enamel Advertising Sign – 20th Century A bold vintage enamel advertising sign for Spratt’s Meat-Fibrine Dog Foods, produced by Wood & Penfold Ltd, London. With its striking colour scheme of cobalt blue and bright yellow, this sign would have originally hung outside a shop or feed store, promoting one of the best-known names in British pet food. Spratt’s was the world’s first commercial pet food manufacturer, established in the 19th century and a household name through the first half of the 20th century. Enamel signs like this were key advertising tools and are now sought-after by collectors of enamel signage and vintage advertising. This is the smaller, harder-to-find size, which makes it especially appealing to collectors and decorators alike. Rectangular in shape with strong typography and high visual impact, it displays beautifully despite its age.
