Vintage Sylko Dewhurst’s Sewing Thread Counter Shop Display Drawer Box An original vintage shop counter display drawer box advertising Sylko 40 sewing thread by Dewhurst’s. The box is finished in deep navy blue with a bold red printed panel reading “SYLKO 40 – Dewhurst’s mercerised thread – for sewing natural fabrics.” Designed for use in haberdashery shops, this type of counter unit would originally have contained drawers of Sylko cotton thread reels, allowing shop assistants to quickly access colours for customers. The strong graphic branding and simple wooden construction make it an appealing piece for collectors of sewing ephemera, haberdashery displays, or vintage advertising. The piece has three small drawers with black knobs and retains its original painted finish and printed advertising strip to the front.
